TKO Reclaim/Recycle Process
Once we unload the truck all of the electronics are separated by type. Monitors by size, shape and stacked on pallets for shipment. Cell phone and land phone equipment are all
separated. Computers are palletized by style & if the hard drives need to be destroyed in order to protect your information those are removed & crushed at once. The printers & copiers are “cleaned” so that the plastic, metal, wire & cartridges are all boxed individually! The computers are then broken down and the components are boxed as follows:
- motherboards
- fingerboards
- memory (by speed)
- optical
- floppies
- power supplies
- aluminum
After boxing, these components are all weighed and sent by tractor trailer to various companies who actually shred and separate the circuitry and re-use the plastic materials to make more circuit boards.
